Wright State Physicians recognizes the need for physical and emotional support to individuals and families within the Dayton community. To support its mission of educating tomorrow’s physicians, Wright State Physicians is accepting new patients with resident physicians at the Wright State Physicians Psychiatry Psychotherapy Clinic (2555 University Blvd., Dayton, Ohio 45324).
“Our resident physicians provide quality, cost-effective evidence-based treatments for those experiencing non-life threatening anxiety, depression, relationship issues, personality disorders, or who have had a traumatic life event,” said Kim Paul, CEO of Wright State Physicians.
Appointments are available for weekly therapy, including cognitive behavioral and brief psychodynamic therapy.
Resident physicians are also accepting new patients for group therapy. The Psychotherapy Clinic offers therapy for couples and families, a social skills group for kids (ages 8-14), a group for kids with autism and some medication management. However, medication management cannot be the sole purpose for a visit.
Due to resource limitations, the clinic cannot treat patients with severe psychiatric diagnosis or active substance use concerns.
The cost is $40 per session. The Psychotherapy Clinic cannot accept any form of insurance, including Medicare, Medicaid and CareSource.
