The Dayton Business Journal (DBJ) released its 2023 Bizwomen Power 50 list in May. The Bizwomen Power 50 list represents the 50 most influential female leaders in business in the Dayton region. Wright State Physicians (WSP) is proud to announce that CEO Kimberly Rex, MHA, earned a spot on this list.
Rex has been with WSP for 13 years, promoted to Chief Executive Officer in 2017 from her role as Chief Operating Officer, which she earned in 2016. In 2018 Rex also became the Chief Administrative Officer for Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine (BSOM).
Valerie Weber, MD, BSOM Dean, said of Rex, “I am so excited to see Kim Rex receive this well-deserved nod. Ms. Rex has been a transformative leader at BSOM, and at Wright State Physicians. As the dean’s ‘right hand,’ at BSOM, she has been instrumental in my work. At WSP she has been instrumental in creating a culture of excellence, so much so that WSP was named one of the Dayton Business Journal’s 2022 Best Places to Work in the Dayton region. Congratulations to Kim on this achievement!”
“Kim is remarkable leader for Wright State Physicians, and a great partner as we work together to ensure the highest quality and safety for our patients,” said David Dhanraj, MD, WSP CMO.
Rex also serves the community as member of the Go Red for Women Executive Leadership Team, and Chair of the American Heart Association, Dayton Metro Chapter, Board of Directors.
Wright State University President Sue Edwards, PhD, and board member Dawn Conway also made this years’ list.
All of the 2023 Bizwomen Power 50 honorees will be recognized at an event hosted by the DBJ, and in a special section of the Dayton Business Journal’s June 16 issue. The Bizwomen Power 50 list is compiled by the DBJ Editorial Board. This is the 10th year of this recognition.
