Wright State Physicians Psychiatry offers services for the treatment of mental disorders and problems across all age groups. All of our psychiatrists are certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and those practicing geriatric, child and adolescent, and forensic psychiatry have additional board certification within their subspecialty. We also are all members of the faculty of the Department of Psychiatry at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine.
The Wright State Psychotherapy Clinic was developed in 1992 to provide a nationally recognized resident physician training site focused on providing high-quality, evidence-based psychotherapy treatments for patients with:
- relationship issues
- traumatic life events
Clinic services are offered by senior residents under close supervision of Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry faculty members. All senior faculty members are expected to supervise at least one resident’s Psychotherapy Clinic patients.
There are openings for adult and child and adolescent patients seeking weekly psychotherapy sessions. If you, or anyone you know, could benefit from speaking with a physician psychiatrist, consider calling the Wright State Psychotherapy Clinic at 937-223-8840. The intended patient, or legal guardian, must schedule his or her own screening visit. All patients are seen for $35 per session.
We cannot accept any form of insurance, including Medicare, Medicaid and Tricare. Due to resource limitations, we cannot treat patients with severe psychiatric diagnosis. Medication management cannot be the sole reason for a visit.
