Before getting pregnant:

6-10 weeks:

  • Medical history and physical exam
  • Prenatal blood work
  • Risk assessment

12-14 weeks:

  • Visit with physician
  • Review of personal chart, labs
  • Documentation of fetal heart tones
  • Risk assessment

14-16 week visit:

  • Discussion of genetic testing, quad screen
  • Schedule 20-week ultrasound
  • Discuss childbirth classes

20-22 week visit:

  • Ultrasound
  • Discuss breast feeding
  • Schedule childbirth classes
  • Risk assessment

24-28 week visits:

  • Glucola test, Rh test
  • Fetal well-being evaluation
  • Discuss pre-eclampsia, preterm labor
  • Discuss pediatrician
  • Risk assessment

28-32 week visits:

  • Childbirth classes
  • Sign Family Beginnings paper work

36 week visit:

  • Group B strep culture

Weekly visits until 41 weeks:

  • Cervical check
  • Antepartum testing
  • Induction
