Wright State Physicians Surgery welcomes new doctors in surgical trauma and acute care surgery

DAYTON, Ohio—Wright State Physicians Surgery welcomes two trauma and acute care surgeons, Alyssa J. Gans, M.D., and Gregory R. Semon, D.O.

Gans is accepting new patients and is seeing patients at Miami Valley Hospital. She also teaches as an assistant professor of trauma and acute care surgery at the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine.

She is a fellowship-trained trauma and acute care surgeon specializing in surgical critical care and trauma. She earned her medical degree from the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, where she also completed a general surgery residency. She completed a surgical critical care fellowship at the University of Cincinnati.

Semon is accepting new patients and is seeing patients at Miami Valley Hospital. He also teaches as an assistant professor of trauma and acute care surgery at the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. He is a fellowship-trained trauma and acute care surgeon specializing in trauma, critical care, laparoscopic surgery and surgical management of rib fractures.

He earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine from the Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in general surgery at the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine/Grandview Hospital. He also completed fellowships in surgical critical care and acute care surgery at Orlando Regional Medical Center.
